How it works

How does it work?
  1. Download the free hasby alarm app and pair your tag.
  2. Stick it where you do wudhu, away from your bed.
  3. Set your alarm.
  4. When it rings, the only way to stop it is to get up and tap your phone on the tag.
You're up, so make wudhu and pray.
Why do I need a tag?
The alarm only switches off when you tap your phone on your tag. Stick it away from your bed and you have to get up to stop it. That's the whole idea.
Does it ring if my phone is on silent?
Yes. It's built to ring through silent mode and Do Not Disturb, and turning the volume down won't quieten it.
Will it disturb others?
It can, and that's on purpose. hasby alarm has no vibrate option, because a buzz is too easy to sleep through and we want you up. If you share a room, set a vibrate alarm in your phone's own clock app a few minutes before hasby. If the buzz wakes you, get up and be at your tag before hasby rings, so you can stop it straight away. If you sleep through it, hasby will ring, and that's your motivation to get up on the buzz next time.

Phones and tag

Which phones does the app support?
hasby alarm works on both iOS and Android — you just need a phone with NFC.
  • iOS: iPhone 11 or newer, running iOS 26 or above.
  • Android: any NFC-capable phone running Android 8.0 or above.
Can my family share one tag?
Absolutely, that's why it's one per household. Each person pairs the tag in their own app, picks their own time for Tahajjud or Fajr, and gets up to tap it when their alarm rings.
Can I use my own NFC tag?
Yes! Most standard NFC stickers work (look for NTAG213), and they're cheap to buy online. Stick it where you do wudhu, away from your bed, and pair it in hasby alarm.

Tip: don’t stick it straight onto metal, because NFC stickers don’t read well on metal. Tiles, wood and walls are all fine.

Price and delivery

Are the app and tag free?
Yes, completely. No subscriptions, no ads, nothing to unlock. The tag is free too. You just cover £2 for postage and packing.
Why is it free?
We've tried it ourselves and it works, so we want every Muslim to start their day with Tahajjud and Fajr. We know money can sometimes put people off, so we've made it completely free: no ads, no subscriptions, nothing to unlock. The tag is free too; the £2 just covers getting it to you. So there's no excuse now! Just remember us in your du'as. 🤲
Why do I pay £2 then?
Three reasons:
  • It gets your tag to you: the stamp, the envelope and the card fee. The tag itself is on us.
  • It helps the next person. Anything left over goes towards someone else's tag, so you share in their reward, in shaa Allah. 🤲
  • It keeps orders genuine, so tags reach the people who'll use them.
How long does delivery take?
Usually within 7 days.
I'm not in the UK. Can I still use it?
Yes, wherever you are! We can only post tags to UK addresses for now, but the app itself works anywhere. All you need is your own NFC tag:
  1. Buy a cheap NFC sticker online.
  2. Stick it where you do wudhu, away from your bed.
  3. Open hasby alarm and pair it.
That's it. Set your alarm and you're ready for Tahajjud and Fajr.

Phones: iPhone 11 or newer on iOS 26 or above, or any NFC-capable Android phone on Android 8.0 or above.
